“A-Any money? Please? Anything? Sir? Madam, please?” Everyone just shunned you and walked past, their noses stuck up in the air like they were some posh snobs, you were only asking for a few (pounds/dollars etc)! You bet they had loads of money but didn’t want to give it
to someone who didn’t have a home...
This all started when your parents kicked you out because you accidentally set fire to their house...for the third time. Just because you couldn’t cook and were sort of in a mood with them, they had to kick you out! So you were stuck here, on a street, in the rain, with nothing but a cuddly toy that you had since you were a child. It was getting dark and you huddled into the little shelter you had underneath an abandoned shop.
You clenched your grumbling stomach and began to weep, at first quietly but it grew louder and louder, and people gave you dirty looks as they past. One person threw a few pennies at you, but that couldn’t buy you anything that actually mattered. The weather didn’t seem to be improving and you couldn’t do anything about it but try to sleep, which was pretty hard considering you were sleeping on a cold hard pavement with nothing but your toy which you cuddled close to your chest....
“Oi, Ragazza, wake up!” You opened your eyes to see an annoyed looking man with brown eyes staring back at you. You shuffled back and flinched, thinking he was going to kill you...or do something worse.
“I-I don’t have any money, please don’t k-kill me!” He rolled his eyes and pulled you up.
“Idiot...I’m not going to kill you, I’m helping you! If you don’t want my help then fine!” He flipped you off and began walking away.
“WAIT!” He turned around and the strange curl on him bobbed, making you giggle slightly. Boy, it felt good to smile once more. You staggered towards him and he helped you walk down the dark street, back towards his house you hoped. But you couldn’t trust him for sure, I mean, things like this had happened before, men would ‘help’ you but instead...well...yeah...
After a walk which seemed like forever but was actually probably about twenty minutes or so, you arrived at a big house. And by big I mean BIG. Villa-size big. The man walked up the steps with you following and opened the door, throwing the keys on a table and
shouted.
“Fratello? I’m home! I’ve brought someone with me SO DON’T ANNOY HER!” The house looked amazing; it was very Italian you could see. You thought he was Italian judging by his accent and his style, and now you were sure. Suddenly you heard a very loud bang and something, or rather someone, was running towards you at top speed.
“Ve! We have a new visitor? Ah she is a beautiful! Pleasure to meet you, I’m Feliciano, but you can call me Feli! Do you like pasta! I’ll go make some pasta!” He said it all so fast all you could catch was his name and pasta. Boy did pasta sound good right now. Feliciano looked a lot like the man that had rescued you, you thought. The darker haired man rolled his eyes and took his coat off.
“That is my fratello, Feliciano. We don’t know what’s wrong with him but you get used to it...Idiot...” You giggled and stood by the front door as the man came back with some spare clothes, and he pointed to a bathroom before nodding.
“Uh, I’m Lovino by the way...” You smiled.
“Pleasure to meet you Lovino, I’m _____.”
“____....” He said slowly, before sheepishly walking out of the bathroom and to the kitchen with his brother. You leaned against the door and sighed, smiling to yourself
“Lovino. My hero...”
You walked back into the kitchen and smiled shyly at Feliciano, who waved cheerily at you and began serving up pasta that smelt delicious.
“Mmm, this smells absolutely amazing!” He grinned, pleased with that compliment and shouted his brother.
“I’M COMING JEEZ!” He stomped downstairs and nodded at you, blushing lightly.
“You look...nice.” Sitting down, you giggled, thanking him.
“Thank you.”
Dinner was filled with awkward silences and the scraping of metal on plates, when Feli decided to speak up.
“So, ____, how come you didn’t have anywhere to live Ve?” it was your turn to blush now and you looked down.
“My parents kicked me out for setting fire to the house accidentally...” Feliciano looked at you and burst out laughing, and Lovino began chuckling which you didn’t even know he was capable of.
After dinner Feli was asleep on the sofa and Lovino was sitting on the armchair, watching some Italian sports programme and you were sitting on the floor cuddling your toy.
“Hey Lovino?” You whispered lightly as to not wake Feli.
“Hm, what?” He looked down at you and raised a brow, glancing between you and the show.
“Thanks for letting me be here, it’s so kind of you...I don’t know how to repay you but I owe you so much.” He blushed a bit and stared at his programme.
“It’s nothing.” He seemed to blush a lot, you thought. Watching Feliciano sleep made you sleepy, and you yawned clutching (toy name) closer to you. Lovino looked at you and stood up.
“Uh, are you tired? You can sleep in the guest room, come on.” You followed him and gasped at the room. The bed was massive and the room looked like something from a five star hotel. He nodded at you and pointed to a drawer and a door.
“Bathrooms there, there should be pyjamas in there, we can uh, go shopping tomorrow or something I guess. In fact, take fratello he knows more about what women wear since he spent half his life in dresses...” He rolled his eyes and you giggled, the thought of Feliciano in a dress was quite funny. Lovino turned to leave before you spoke.
“Oh Lovino? Thank you... and good night.” He mumbled a response before going back to his own room.
-In Lovino’s Mind -
“Oh no, I can’t...like her can I? I only met her today! Pfft like she likes me back, I bet she likes Feli better...everyone always does...”
-Back to you-
You woke up and looked at the clock that read 7:14. Stretching, you got up and went downstairs, seeing if anyone was up. You peeked around the kitchen archway and saw Lovino in the kitchen, and it looked like he was paying bills or something boring like that.
“Good morning Lovino!” He twitched and frowned.
“Yeah yeah morning, whatever ragazza.” You ran your fingers through your hair and glanced at yourself through your reflection on the kitchen window and gasped. You looked horrible! Your hair was practically defying gravity, you were full of dirt and all in all you just looked terrible. Running your fingers upstairs, you quickly ran up to take a shower and get dressed in the conveniently placed clothes and ran back downstairs, plaiting your hair as you came down. Feli was at the front door, bouncing from excitement.
“C’mon ____! Fratello says I get to take you shopping!” Feli grabbed your hand grinning and got into the driver’s seat of the Ferrari. Biggest mistake ever.
By the time he parked the car, you felt as if you rode the biggest, scariest rollercoaster in the world. Twice. He grabbed your hand again and pulled you into the store.
-Meanwhile at Lovino’s house-
Lovino opened the door and groaned as he saw Toni waving at him, being his usual cheery, yet slightly annoying self.
“What do you want tomato bastard...” Toni held up an envelope and handed it to Lovino.
“Hola! These are for the ball that Roderich and I planned! It’s a mix of a salsa,
traditional Spanish party, but eh, also posh. IT WILL BE AMAZING!” Toni walked into his house and sat on the sofa, grinning.
“And now tell me about this girl Lovi! ~”
“DON’T CALL ME LOVI YOU STUPID BASTARDO!”
-Back to you-
You got home and were immediately bombarded with questions from a Spanish man who was a bit like Feliciano and Lovino put together, with a bit of something else.
“Stop annoying belle- I mean ragazza idiota!” You gasped slightly at how mean Lovino sounded, but no one else seemed phased by it.
“Hola mi amigo! I am Antonio! Or Toni for short!” You giggled as Feliciano tackled Antonio to the ground, hugging him tight.
“Easy there Feli! Hey, you’re all invited to the party I’m having!” A party? You hadn’t been to a party in so long, you couldn’t even remember what they were like, and you couldn’t wait to go to one. Especially if it was like the host itself, bright and happy.
“Oh and by the way, it’s a masquerade ball!”
After Toni left, you grinned and sat next to Lovino.
“A masquerade ball? Wow how amazing! C-Can we go Lovino? Pretty, pretty please? With cherries on top?” Lovino looked and you and sighed, he’d agree to anything when you gave him that look.
“Sì, sì...” You grinned and wrapped your arms around his neck, hugging him tight and
making him blush dark.
“Yay, thank you so much!” He nodded and you kissed him on the cheek before running upstairs with Feli to get ready, because Toni told you the day it happened because he’s just unorganised like that.
-Time skip to party because Author is a lazy cunt-
You smiled and gripped Feliciano’s and Lovino’s arm who were on either side of you and walked into the room, and you gasped as you saw it.
It was bright, yet elegant. Casual, yet classy. Perfect. Toni and another man who you were guessing was this ‘Roderich’ person greeted you all at the door and you walked in and took a seat at the table. Roderich came up to the table and extended a hand towards you.
“Hallo, you must be ___, am I correct?” He seemed very intimidating and you nodded shyly.
“Welcome, my name is Roderich Edelstein.” He did a swift bow and Feli piped up.
“Hey by any chance, do you serve pasta here?”
“No we don’t.” And with that, he briskly walked off and began dancing with a brunette who was about to hit someone with a frying pan...
Lovino noticed you watching the dancers with keen eyes and tapped you on the shoulder.
“*ahem* uh, you want to dance ragazza?” Grinning, you took his hand and nodded.
“Sure! Oh wait...I don’t know how to dance like that...” It was his turn to grin, as he led you to the corner of the ballroom, where it was a little bit quieter. He grabbed your hands and put them on his shoulders, and he put both of his on your waist. You both bushed at the contact but secretly enjoyed it.
“This is just a simple waltz. I will lead and you just follow me, sì?” Lovino began to dance around in a pattern and you watched his feet, trying to follow him but accidentally stepping on them. He chuckled and lifted your head up, looking into your eyes.
“Look at me, it will make it easier.” The way he looked at you made your head dizzy and gave you butterflies in your tummy. After you two had been dancing for about ten minutes, you went outside to get some fresh air and watched the wildlife buzz at night. There were footsteps behind you and you turned around to see Antonio, he smiled and waved, sitting down next to you.
“Hey, you know Lovi?” The name made you so happy and you nodded.
“I have no idea what you gave him, but you have changed him.” You blinked, confused.
“WH-what do you mean?”
“Well, he is usually so angry and swears at everyone and can be very mean, but when he found you...something inside him must have changed...” Toni looked into the distance before patting your shoulder and getting up.
“Don’t hurt him, he’s very sensitive.” And with that, he went back into the party. Your thoughts raced around and buzzed in your head. This means that he might actually like you? You squealed and jumped up, quickly turning around and running into the party, but you bumped into someone.
“Oh I’m so sorry-Oh, hey Lovino...” He blushed and stepped back a bit, but still so your noses were almost touching.
“_-___, I have something I have to say...”
“Me too...”
“You first.” You both said together, and giggled. You both looked away and said something at the same time.
“I like you.”
“So do I!” Laughing, you stepped closer and held his hands.
“Lovino, I don’t know how I could repay you, you saved me, clothed me, fed me...loved me...” He smiled and leant down, capturing your lips in a warm embrace. Gasping slightly, you kissed him back, hesitantly at first but you grew more confident. As if on cue, fireworks shot up from the household and you broke the kiss, looking into his mesmerising eyes.
“YOU OWE ME 20 BUCKS RODDY!” You both turned around to see a happy, yet annoyed Roderich and Toni with a video camera. Lovino frowned and began to walk to the happy Spaniard, but you grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
“Fine, you win this bet Antonio.” Lovino flipped them off.
“You bet that I’d kiss her? Stupid tomato bastard! And you too piano bastard!” Roderich scoffed and you giggled, running back into the party pulling an unhappy Lovino with you.
Feliciano greeted you both and jumped up and down.
“I see fratello finally kissed you! Aha, doitsu owes me money!” Feliciano ran off to a tall strong man with slicked back hair and you giggled again.
“Did everyone put bets on whether or not we’d kiss Lovi?” Lovino opened his mouth then glared at you as you began to run away.
“Hey! Where did you hear that from! Don’t call me Lovi, MY NAME IS LOVINO!”
-The End-
